Ingredients
2 servings of avocado smoothie:
- 2 cups unsweetened almond or rice milk (avoid cow milk if you are lactose intolerant)
- 1 avocado (peeled and chopped)
- 1 table spoon lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons honey (max! Sugar can be a cause of inflammation so try to stay away from it even if honey is better than refined sugar...)
- 5 ice cubes
Directions
- Place all ingredients in blender and whirl until smooth.
Author's note
This avocado smoothie is a very easy recipe loaded with nutrients. Avocados provide about 20 essential nutrients including vitamins A, D, E, and K; B vitamins; and soluble and insoluble fibre. They also contain healthy fats known for their anti-inflammatory benefits. Enjoy!
