Olive oil and sesame seed dressing

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1 tablespoon of dried basil or fresh basil leaves if you've got some!
- Salt & pepper
Directions
- Saute sesame seeds in one tablespoon of olive oil for several minutes until lightly browned.
- Allow them to cool.
- Mix all the ingredients together.
Author's note
This sesame seed salad dressing is delicious especially over spinach. The sesame seeds give a very nice taste and are a good source of omega 6.
Olive oil has anti-inflammatory properties and has many other health benefits.
If your body does not tolerate vinegar because of its acidity, replace it by an extra tablespoon of lemon juice.
