Olive oil and sesame seed dressing

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 tablespoon of dried basil or fresh basil leaves if you've got some!
  • Salt & pepper

Directions

  • Saute sesame seeds in one tablespoon of olive oil for several minutes until lightly browned.
  • Allow them to cool.
  • Mix all the ingredients together.

Author's note

This sesame seed salad dressing is delicious especially over spinach. The sesame seeds give a very nice taste and are a good source of omega 6.
Olive oil has anti-inflammatory properties and has many other health benefits.
If your body does not tolerate vinegar because of its acidity, replace it by an extra tablespoon of lemon juice.
